Thankful for...{A-Z}

Happy Thanksgiving, bloggy world! 

I hope you've all had as fantastic a day as I have. I'mma throw up some pics (most of which don't pertain to thanksgiving....just so you know. lol) and some random things that I'm terribly thankful for and leave you with wishes for a fantastic weekend!

Knowledge. I'm thankful for being homeschooled by my amazing mum and for the chance to learn! so many people in other parts of the world never get the chance....

If I Were A....

I got the idea for this post from {Treskie} an adorable blogger girl that I followed a few days ago! 

If I were a gemstone: I'd be an emerald. 

If I were a scent: I'd be the breeze off the ocean. I'd make people long for adventure. 

If I were a pair of shoes: ooh...This is tough. I'd be high heeled pirate boots. 

If I were the weather: I'd be missouri weather. Sunny one second and tornadoes the next and soft rain the next. 

This is our cozy lantern that my mum sent for the campsite. I love lanterns. actually, I always secretly hope for short power outages in the winter so that we can use the lanterns. <3 They're lovely. 

If I were a facial expression: I'd be a goofy grin.

If I were a car: I would be a vintage VW beetle. Cute and funky

If I were a time of day: I'd be evening. 

If I were a month: I'd be March. My birthday month. and totally unpredictable.

That is so depressingly accurate. :P We've had practically NO rain at all this Summer. 

It looks like it finally might rain tonight. The sky is clouded over and it's slightly windy. It's beautiful. ^_^ 

I really hope it does rain.... 

These are my newest ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE want. Agh. They're so amazing. :D I'm a Converse fanatic and a Dr. Who lover. :D It's winwinwin. I think I saw these on Etsy...I should go back and see how much, cos I really want 'em. oh gosh. found 'em. $135.00. Geeeez. :P Oh well. Maybe I'll be rich someday 

and be able to buy Dr. Who converse. 

I'm tired. really tired. but I'm having a loverly evening wathing Dr. who with the fam, Chatting with Nonii, and waiting for the rain. :) <3

How I Feel Right Now...

kinda chilly....My family tends to like it quite a bit cooler in here than I do. I spent a lot of time standing or sitting about 2 inches or less from our wood stove. :) Right now I am wrapped in my fuzzy robe. It is cozy. I am in fuzzy socks too. Later when it is time to hang with the fam or watch a show or something I'll be wearing fuzzy pants as well. Yes, I am a fan a fuzzy clothes. xD lol.

sleepy...I went to bed a little later than usual last night and was up pretty early. I couldda slept for hours more. *yawn* I did manage to finish my school despite the sleepy feeling that caused Algabra to take an hour and a half. I hate Algebra. I am so craving a cup of strong coffee right now. About like this morning's...That was delish.

sorta bored...Just cos. lol. I am over here at the desk chompin' my gum and freezing and being sleepy and that's about all that's goin' on. :) Mum and Pop are gonna be out for the evening....I am babysitting my little siblings who are all in the living room cheering my two littlest siblings on while they play the x-box. I can think of about all of them who should be finishing the day's school right now... :) Maybe We'll play Kinect later. Have any of you tried that? It is so fun! :D

Happy...I had a pretty Epic weekend. I went to a friends birthday party, hung out with a friend that lives all the way over in Cali and came to visit, Went bowling, Went out for ice cream with friends, laughed, screamed, and all those fun things. xD Yeap.

Antsy....I wanna go somewhere new....I wanna go somewhere with long white sandy beaches and palm trees. Somewhere where the ocean is. I have never seen the ocean in real life. I love it though. I want to be there. *sigh* Where there are amazing kids of colorful fish and reefs and crabs and seagulls and pelicans and ships and yachts and islands and coconuts. I have always wanted to be there. Maybe someday I will. :) I keep telling myself with absolute certainty that someday I will. ^_^

Successful...I MEMORIZED THAT SONG!! xD That concerto that I am playing for Federation in 2 weeks! *grins* I finally memorized it. I am not as good at it as I would like currently but I am practicing like crazy and I'm sure I'll get close. :) I am nervous though. I am a pretty shy person and playing in front of a judge always gives me butterflies. or worse. Sometimes I feel like I'm gonna die. lol. I know people who have no problem performing in front of other people...That's not me. 0_0
Yeah. I kinda feel all of that right now. I also feel like I need to go put rice in the oven for dinner and like I need to get some kids busy cleaning up in here. ^_^

So, I was tagged in another quiz this week by Mel over at Crazy Rants! She has a fantastic blog. It is one of my faves. :D Anyways, Here are my answers. 


1. Someone walks up to you and tells you that you can go to the moon on a NASA mission for free, without any astronaut training. What do you say? OMGSH!

2. You go over a friend’s house for dinner, and they are serving stuffed peppers that taste and look like dog food. When the person asks you how it is, what do you tell them? - um... How 'bout this weather??  

3. What would you rather swim in an entire pool of? Orange soda or Maple Syrup? - Orange Soda. I hate the way maple syrup smells. xP 

4. So let’s say your in a dressing room in a clothing store, and on the hook thingie on the back of the door there’s a camera bag with a camera inside. The owner could be long gone by now… but what do you do? -Ask around...Then feel bad for whoever left their camera there, then idk wat I would do. lol. 

5. What would you rather swim in an entire pool of? Sour Cream or Honey Mustard salad dressing? -Sour cream!!! xD I hate honey mustard, but Sour Cream would be fun to swim in. ^_^ 

6. You’re house is on fire. What’s the first thing you grab? (other than living things like people and animals and such) -My violin. Probably. or photo albums. 

7. A package suddenly mysteriously arrives on your doorstep one day, without a return address and a sticker that says: “THIS SIDE UP”. You open it. Inside is a real live penguin. What do you do now? -Squeal and try to convince my parents to let me keep a penguin. <3 

8. What would you rather swim in an entire pool of? Grape Juice or Raw Eggs? (yup. I said eggs.) -Eggs could be fun. As long as they were store eggs and didn't smell bad. Grape juice would be boring. 

9. Your best friend invites you to go see a movie with her, but you everything you believe goes against what this film is about. What do you say? - I say that I'm not going to see that movie because everything I believe goes against it. lol. I wouldn't stop her from going, though, if her authorities had given her permission. 

10. What would you rather swim in an entire pool of? Baby Food or Lava? (if the lava wasn’t painfully hot) -ooh!! Lava!! I have always wanted to swim in lava. for real. It looks so fantastic to play in doesn't it? The fact that it is thousands of degrees hot is what has stopped me. Well, That, and I've never been around Lava....

11. Your friend is over your house and while you’re in the middle of having a conversation with her, she pulls out her phone and begins texting right in front of you. What do you do now? -Be silent, and look right at her in a kinda shocked state. I think she might get the picture....

I am so glad that it is finally Thursday. School has been a trial for me this week. :P I seem to be barely able to get all the days school done before 2 in the afternoon and usually I can finish either before or right after lunch. :) Anyways, we don't have school tomorrow because we have orchestra. <3 I love orchestra. I love playing my violin again!!! hehe. Earlier this week I just couldn't get it to sound clear at all. It was...kinda muddy. :P The sound just wasn't crystal. If you know what I mean. lol. Anyways, I was thinkin' that maybe I need new strings or something and mom was like "Have you cleaned your strings recently?" DUH!! LOL! I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of that. :D My mum is so smart. xD lol. My violin sounds gorgeous again and I have been practising like crazy. I am getting better with my federation piece. I am not worried about the difficulty of playing it, I am worried about having four pages worth of music to memorize in just a few weeks. 0_0.

So, last night was pretty much a blast. After church me and a fe of my siblings went over to Q and Jo's house to hang out for the evening. The guys have this game they play called Twilight Imperium and it takes (not exaggerating) 8 to 10 hours to play. It is insane. Anywho, Jonnah and me tagged along to hang out with Jo and Tabbi during the game and we all had sooo much fun!! We laughed our faces off and were just crazy friends. It was awesome just to have a blast together. The boys finished the game at around 2:30AM and we were home around 3. I am kinda tired. lol. <3 <3 I didn't have the camera unfortunately. I am going to steal a few pics from Tabbi though, so that you all can see that game!! 

It is the most complex board game I have seen in my life.

Thanksgiving and whatnot...

Heyo! <3
Obviously, I didn't get a post written yesterday like I had hoped. I started one.....And then Nonii popped up and we chatted...then I had to get my lovely little neice out of something...then I had to run something out to the freezer in the dark...That was awful. And did you know that we have cyotes out here?? I have heard them before! *shiver* I don't like going outside in the dark. I just ran out of time to finish a post. lol.
Anyways, I had a great weekend! We got to celebrate Thanksgiving twice this year. The first time was on Thanksgiving Day in KC with Dad's family. We had a *lot* of fun! It was the annual Burks Family Reunion and bowling tournament. I am garbage at bowling but we all had so much fun! I only ever get to do it when we go to Kansas City on Thanksgiving. :D 
The second time was Sunday here at the house. All of the married kids that are in town came and Gramma and Uncle Jared were here! We cooked and ate and hung out all day. It was pretty much awesome! I have the koolest family everz.
Yesterday I woke up late-ish and had pumpkin pie for breakfast. Then the kids watched Hogan's Heroes while Mom, Jonnah, and I listened to Christmas music and put up Christmas decorations! We are supposed to be school this week and I haven't gotten any of it done! Horrible huh?? I should be doing it now instead of blogging...but I would hate that..So I'm not. lol.
Dad and Deano just got home! ^_^ And it is almost dinner time. I am hungry. But I am pretty much always hungry...so nuthin' else is new there! lol.
I cannot wait until Friday!! Last Friday we didn't have any orchestra because it was Thanksgiving week. I have practiced like a crazy lady though and I am getting pretty decent at the Messiah songs we are playing. I am excited about all the Christmas events coming up. We have our Christmas Concert this Friday (We are playing a few of the peices from Handel's Messiah!!), then Christmas parties! I NEVER get tired of Christmas parties! If someone had one in the middle of Summer I would be there. xD I should do that.....;)
I broke my fingernail last night. It hurt like garbage.

Just Life...

Hello! <3
My hands are FREEZING!! lol. This old Beast of a laptop overheats if there is not a fan blowing sideways over/under the keyboard. So mom has a little fan set up to blow right over it. And it freezes my hands. After a while I eventually have to warm up my hands 'cause they are so cold that I am making typos all over the place! :D
So, This week (until Thursday), Dad, Micah, Nathanael, and Samuel are gone to Arkansas to help my Gramma out at her place with some yard work. It is so quiet around here! lol. And I only made like a 3rd as much food for lunch with all those guys gone!! lol. It is kinda weird....Until Thursday it will just be Mom, Me, Jonnah, and the little kids at home. :)
Summer break is ending!! :( I am sad. lol. I am not really dreading school (which is strange for me!! ^_^) But I do love Summer. This Friday Orchestra starts up again, then next week is school. :P I am really happy about orchestra though! I love it lots. And I will have a job again which will be awesome. I get to babysit the darlingest little girl on Fridays!! She is such a sweetie! And this year she has learned how to walk! I am excited to see for myself how much she has grown!! <3 <3

BLARGH!!!! The right-click button on Mom's mouse is broken so I can't open any new tabs on here with out clicking half a million times! And I have to findout how to click it just right. Just regular clicking doesn't work.
I got to babysit my nieces Lishy and 'Laina and my nephew Nedward last night! They are such dolls!! Neddie is learning how to talk and has the cutest voice! And Lish is so grown up! lol! I was putting Neddie to bed and needed to know where his diapers where so I asked Lishy and she told me that they were in the dresser. Elaina's diapers where in there too though so she had to come over and explain to me that the little diapers were "'Laina's Boppies" and the bigger diapers were "NedNed's Boppies". It was so cute!!!!! <3 <3
